Why Self-help Books are so powerful?

When was the last time you read a book, got fascinated by its creative cover, and gave it time to embrace you in its fresh paper thoughts? or do you get hit by a loud book reference by a close friend? If it's been a while, then I think this article is worth your time and your short-span attention. But you have to give it more time than a tik tok video.

I still remember in my 12th grade, totally hating those thick accounting books, puzzling me into the Indian orthodoxical but effective accounting systems, calculative and precise, confusing and complex, but somehow silent, peaceful, and elaborate. And that's what books are all about.

I personally never liked reading as a habit or a hobby or a job, but now I admire them, all the way. When I understood how much value they can add, I was flabbergasted by the whole genome of it, and how it can moderately improve your generations to come, with a very-very little price to pay. Then I surely hold on to the fact that the best things in life are free, like almost free.

On the grand scale of life and in my twenty-six years, I felt that people do not look forward to helping other people. They automatically sense that they are getting used or somehow pushed down by some moving ball of energy. So they either indirectly ask for money for advice or they misguide into some other galaxy. I simply do not believe in generalizing but that is what I have experienced. And I would really admire your thoughts in the comment section if you disagree with the same. You are blessed if people around you are helping you to solve your problems and work on your weaknesses. Well, I was not.

I realized that Self-help books are written by these amazing authors that have done great work and experienced everything. From misery to depressing failures, getting rich to rag, and then rag to rich. While sliding up and down, they have put up detailed thoughts and statements, to avail and talk about stuff that can enhance your daily productivity, making you into a kingsman of life.

How I got addicted to self-help books?

I realized that I am somehow not doing well when I was just out of college and I was unable to find a definitive purpose in life, even after having the perfect job that I wanted. They were not giving enough of a kick. Then I somehow found this book named 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma, staring me into the stars, dancing me into the amelioration of my existence. And there it was, I read the whole thing, implemented it into my own life, and boom, I find myself in a better position, & and then I read another book, by some other well-known experienced author, and boom, I was moved into a better position, and there it was, the drug, the only drug that does not have any side effects, but a great long term high, that you will not forget.

After that understanding how I can work on my weaknesses was a piece of cake. Now I am a Billionaire with a Yellow Lamborgini park outside. I have 20 different maids to do my cleaning and help me drop a deuce. Well, I am just kidding. Life will never be a piece of cake, it will get tougher and tougher. So, it is a never-ending journey and it should be.

Jokes apart, I found that if you have a particular problem with a certain aspect of life, you find an expert in the same field. Find a book written by them, and then invest your money and time in it. Simple. And almost everyone on this planet holds access to the internet, you can do that easy search in less than 10 minutes. And all it takes is some sheer willpower to go online and do the holy act.

The best thing you will realize is that you won’t need a single soul to make you into a better person, the only thing you need is some time to read and the right brain to execute in your own era of life.

I hope this article adds value to your life. I would love to know what you personally think about how powerful books are. FYI, I hate novels, they are a waste of time, and movies are so much better.
